Hike Mineral Point Trail
Mineral Point Trail is a well maintained, easy and fun trail offering amazing views of Lake Pend Orielle, The Monarch Mountains and Scotchman Peaks. The main view point of the lake is called Mineral Point and is marked by a monument.
There are 2 trail heads: the lower located at the Green Bay Camp Area and the upper located at the end of Forest Road 532. The trail winds inward from the high cliff shores and dips deep into parts of the forest and then pops out periodically to beautiful view points. The hike is roughly 3.6 miles long (in and out), leaving you with plenty of time to head into the town of Sandpoint for local beverages and cuisine.
